the impact animals can have on us all has inspired me to help others do the best they can to give back to their companions.
This is Yami, found at 4 weeks old, hidden in some roadside foliage. She required constant care and medication to heal an infection she had developed in her eyes. Through weeks of love and hard work, she made a full recovery and is now a very, very, big drama queen.
Kiki was rehomed to me when she was almost a year old. She loves the outdoors and always begs for some leash time in the yard. She is super affectionate to nearly anyone she comes across, at least once she figures out you are a friend.
Ollie born on a farm, was taken in so young she was bottle fed. Today, she spends most of her free time looking cute, hoping for some extra treats.
Mama was rescued when she was two years old, and has now grown into an old lady. You can find her in her tree, at the window closest to the bird feeders. When she isn’t bird watching you can bet she will be by your side to keep an eye on you (and receive pets of course).
Hello pet parents! My name is Maria! I have been providing local pet care services since 2022. I was born and raised in New Franklin, Ohio, where I still call home to this day. As a young child I have always had an interest in the other living things on our planet. I have been involved in 4H, equestrian centers, and attended classes for horticulture. Though after graduating I could never settle on a profession, and felt lost.
Though in 2022, Yami came into my life and changed my perspective on the living as a whole. She is so smart and intelligent, and the patience I learned from her has helped me feel confident in facing all animals I have come across. I spent time training her to use buttons to display her wants more efficiently than the all purpose meow. I truly believe this is what changed our bond, and allowed me to develop such strong empathy for other living things. Her being able to actually communicate with me has helped me learn that other living things have the ability to think and feel more than we give them credit for.
In the hustle and bustle of every day life, our pet companions are too often put to the side so we can go to work, school, vacation, etc. I believe all living things deserve more time, and to have more experiences. That’s the reason I started helping people in my community care for their pets when they don’t have the time, or are unable due to health issues, travel, etc. They deserve more.
